History & Story
In my high School days I had a keen interest in 1955 to 1957 Chevrolet cars. Many hours were spent cutting out and saving well over a hundred for sale advertisements. As I encountered Chevrolet’s in my travels, my desire to some day own a 1955 model year was always present.
A friend of ours used to winter in Mesa, Arizona. I asked Doug to search for a 55 during his winter retreat. After looking at a few, we were excited when he informed us that he had located one that he felt was a good example.
This unit is the result of a private sale at the Goodguy’s Car Show in Scottsdale , Arizona. The vehicle was turn key. Aside from routine maintenance, the battery was relocated to the trunk and the radiator was replaced with a BeeCool unit.
We have put over 11,700 miles and the double nickel ( 1955 ), providing us with countless memories.
